Russia kills 5 civilians in Dnipro: Zelenskyy reacts
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian shelling of Dnipro, reporting 5 casualties due to the Russian attack. He also showed a video.
"Dnipro. Russian terrorist strikes against our city again. As of now, five people have been killed," Zelenskyy writes.
According to the President, only two things can stop this Russian terror - modern air defense systems and the long-range of our weapons.
"The world can protect lives, and this requires the determination of leaders. The determination that can and must make protection from terror the norm again," Zelenskyy states.
Number of victims increased again
The number of victims has also increased to 39 people.
"Five people were killed, 39 injured, including a 14-year-old girl. A third of these people are in hospital. Two of them are seriously injured, the rest are being treated," says Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
According to him, several fires have already been extinguished by rescuers, one of which was on the territory of a medical facility.
"Industrial enterprises and shopping centers have been damaged, and all relevant services are working at the scene," Lysak says.
Russian shelling of Dnipro
Russian troops massively shelled Dnipro on 3 July. Initially, a series of explosions were reported, and later casualties were reported due to a combined Russian attack.
Later, the number of casualties and wounded began to rise. According to the latest reports, 4 people were killed and 34 wounded.
Ukrainian air defense over the region shot down five drones and five missiles. In total, on the morning of 3 July, Ukrainian air defenses shot down five missiles and six drones.
