'Russia is insidious': Sumy explains unusual measures amid strike threat

Today, due to the threat of missile strikes, restrictions were introduced on movement along key streets in Sumy, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, preventive measures were introduced in the city today to avoid catastrophic damage from Russia’s potential actions.
"After receiving operational intelligence about a possible missile strike by Russian forces on one of the locations in Sumy, we promptly and publicly informed residents of the potential threat. All necessary emergency services were mobilized," Hryhorov said.
As of 10:20 PM Kyiv time on May 15, the restrictions in the city were lifted and traffic resumed.
"However, it is important to remember that Russia is insidious, and the threat of missile attacks remains quite high," the regional administration emphasized.
Earlier today, Sumy authorities had already warned residents about possible attacks being planned by Russian forces. Locals were urged to stay in shelters.
