Russia initiates preparations for 'elections' in occupied area of Zaporizhzhia region
The aggressor state Russia has initiated preparations for "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, according to the General Staff's data.
According to the General Staff's data, Russia has initiated preparations for agitation in the settlement of Stulneve in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"The occupiers have started preparations for agitation ahead of the so-called 'elections' in the occupied territories on the same voting day in Russia, September 10th," the statement reads.
Preliminarily, representatives from the "United Russia" party will arrive in the occupied territory to create groups of agitators and informants among local collaborators.
Preparations for fake elections in occupied territories
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russians are compelling employees of budgetary institutions to submit membership applications to the "United Russia" party. This situation is particularly noted in Donbas, and it is carried out to simulate an electoral process.
As previously reported by the Center for National Resistance, Russian occupiers promise funds to recruited party members.
On August 6th, the press secretary of the Russian dictator, Dmitry Peskov, stated that preparations are underway in the Kremlin to re-elect Vladimir Putin in the 2024 presidential elections with a result of over 90% of the votes.
