Russia hopes to restart talks with Ukraine and US but says there is no progress

Russia hopes to resume three-way talks on Ukraine, but there has been no progress so far, Russian leader Vladimir Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to TASS.
According to the Kremlin spokesperson, Moscow still hopes to return to consultations in a three-way format to resolve the situation.
"We hope that we will still be able to resume the three-way talks. And we will make another attempt to achieve our goals peacefully," Peskov said.
At the same time, the Russian leader's spokesperson acknowledged that there has been no progress on a settlement so far.
"No, there has been no progress," he said, commenting on the prospects of resuming the three-way talks.
Dmitry Peskov recently said that the Kremlin expects a new three-way meeting involving Ukraine and the US. According to him, an agreement on such a meeting had already been discussed with US negotiators.
In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the Kremlin saw a positive signal in the US approach to the peace process. He noted that Moscow welcomed what he described as Washington taking into account the realities on the ground.
Lavrov also said that Russia is ready to hold a new round of talks on Ukraine. He added that Moscow "has something to say" and claimed that it had never refused dialogue.
