Russia hits Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhia region: Homes destroyed, civilians killed

Russian forces launched a drone attack on Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region on the night of January 29. The strike caused fires, destroyed homes, and resulted in casualties, according to a Telegram post by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
“Russian forces carried out drone strikes on the private sector in Vilniansk. Homes were destroyed, and fires broke out,” the message reads.

Fedorov added that the strike killed three people in the city, and another person was injured.
“Unfortunately, two women and a man were killed, and another man was wounded. He is receiving all necessary medical assistance,” the head of the regional administration said.
Attack on the Zaporizhzhia region
Russian forces regularly attack the Zaporizhzhia region using drones, missiles, and guided bombs.
On the night of December 29, the enemy also struck Vilnyansk, setting fires and damaging residential buildings.
That same night, Russian forces hit Zaporizhzhia city, where a fire broke out after the attack, though fortunately, no one was injured.
Earlier, in the early hours of January 28, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia again. The strike damaged more than 100 apartments and 20 cars in the courtyard of an apartment complex. At least two people sought medical assistance as a result.
