Russia carried out an airstrike on the Sumy region. Two people were killed, and residential buildings were damaged, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

On the afternoon of July 12, Russian forces launched another airstrike on the Sumy region.

The Regional Military Administration stated that the territory of the Sumy community was targeted in the attack.

According to preliminary data, around 1:00 p.m., a guided aerial bomb was dropped on one of the villages in the Velykochernetskyi starostyn district.

The strike killed two civilians. Several private homes were damaged or destroyed during the attack.

The exact number of casualties and the scale of the destruction are being clarified. Rescuers, medical personnel, and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.

Russian strikes on Sumy

Recall that on June 20, the occupiers damaged a multi-story building in Sumy in the evening. The strike was carried out using Lancet drones, which can reach the outskirts of the city.

June 16 was also difficult: Russians attacked Sumy with drones both at night and during the day. The strikes shattered windows in residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

On June 18, the occupiers struck the outskirts of Sumy with multiple rocket launch systems. There were no casualties as a result of that attack.
