Russia hits Merefa in Ukraine's Kharkiv region with ballistic missile: 4 killed, 18 injured

On the morning of May 4, Russia launched a missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the attack, many people were injured. Four people were killed, reports Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Data are known about four victims: men aged 50 and 63, as well as two women aged 41 and 52.
Sixteen injured people are receiving medical assistance.
What was damaged
The strike affected several objects:

A service station.
A fire broke out at the site in a private house and a car.
"The fire has already been extinguished. We are recording damage to private and apartment buildings, 4 shops, and a service station. Emergency crews and all relevant services continue to work at the site of the strike," the report says.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had warned the day before about a possible attack.
"Threat of use of ballistic weapons from the south,” the publication said.

The regional military administration published photos of the aftermath of the attack on Merefa. It was also noted that the number of injured has increased to 18.

"Among the injured, three people are in serious condition. Another 13 people sustained blast injuries of moderate severity. Two victims have acute stress reactions. All are receiving necessary medical care," says Oleh Syniehubov.

The day before, on May 3, Russia carried out a massive strike across Ukraine — more than 175 drones and 5 missiles. As reported, the Defense Forces shot down or suppressed most of the targets.
On the same day, there was an attack on Zaporizhzhia — five people were injured, including a 12-year-old girl. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the garage facilities.
