The number of victims has increased in Odesa as a result of a massive Russian drone strike on the city on the night of December 31. Six people are known to have been injured, according to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

Initially, four victims were reported. However, as of 7:42 a.m. Ktiv rime, their number had risen to six.

"At this moment, we know of six victims of the nighttime Russian attack," Lysak says.

As specified by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, all the victims are members of two families. Among them are three children aged 7 months to 14 years.

"Five people have been hospitalized, including three children. One adult is in serious condition, the rest are in moderate condition, including an infant with inhalation poisoning," the governor says.

The building where the victims lived was damaged on the second to the sixth floors.

In total, four apartment buildings, at least 14 cars, and private garages were damaged in Odesa.

An operational headquarters, a mobile resilience center, and a heating center of the State Emergency Service have been set up at the scene.

Rescuers, medics, utility, and social services are working. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of yet another Russian war crime.

"These strikes are yet another example of Russia's terrorist tactics, deliberately attacking the civilian infrastructure of peaceful cities in the Odesa region, threatening the lives and health of people," Oleh Kiper emphasizes.
