Odesa attack aftermath: Burning apartments, cars, and injured children

In Odesa, as a result of an attack by the Russian army, fires broke out in residential buildings and several cars were burned, according to Odesa City Military Administration head Serhii Lysak and regional governor Oleh Kiper.
Serhii Lysak reported that the nighttime attack caused damage to infrastructure and residential buildings.
In two districts of the city, multi-story buildings were hit, with one building experiencing apartment fires.

Serhii Lysak reported that four people were injured, including three children:
- A 7-month-old infant – moderate condition;
- A 14-year-old boy – moderate condition;
- An 8-year-old girl – moderate condition;
- A 42-year-old man – in serious condition.
“All the injured have been taken to medical facilities and are receiving all necessary care,” he assured.
Regional governor Oleh Kiper added that in Odesa, the facades and windows of several multi-story residential buildings were damaged by falling debris and direct hits.
Fires broke out in apartments in one of the buildings, and civilian vehicles were also damaged by the flames.

“Rescuers, emergency teams, and all relevant services are working at the scenes. Assistance is being provided to residents of the affected buildings,” the head of the regional administration assured.
Russian attack on Odesa on the night of December 31
Enemy drones attacked Odesa during the night of December 31. Explosions were heard across the city, and air defense systems were active.
Odesa City Military Administration head Serhii Lysak reported that parts of the city were left without electricity, water, and heating due to the attack.
Regional governor Oleh Kiper stated that the Russian forces were once again targeting civilian and energy infrastructure.
Previous strikes in the Odesa region
On the morning of December 30, the Russian army struck two Ukrainian seaports in the Odesa region. Damage was recorded at the ports of Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk.
The attack damaged oil storage tanks at an industrial enterprise.
A civilian grain-carrying vessel flying the Panamanian flag, located in the port, was also damaged.
