Russia fires 36 missiles and 600 drones at Ukraine: Air defense steps up

On the night of November 29, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 36 missiles of various types and 596 drones. Ukraine's air defense forces managed to shoot down the majority of the enemy targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram.
According to the military, from 6:00 p.m. on November 28 until the morning of November 29, the enemy carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using attack drones and air- and ground-launched missiles.
The main direction of the strike was Kyiv region.
Overall, Ukraine's Air Force radar units detected and tracked 632 incoming aerial threats — 36 missiles and 596 drones of various types:

596 attack drones of the Shahed and Gerbera types (other drone types included), approaching from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiyske in Crimea (about 350 of them were Shaheds);

5 aeroballistic Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles (launch area: Ryazan region, Russia);
-
23 cruise missiles Kh-101/Iskander-K (launch areas: Rostov region, Russia);
-
4 ballistic missiles Iskander-M (launch areas: Bryansk and Rostov regions, Russia);
-
4 guided air-launched missiles Kh-59/69 (launch areas: Kursk region, Russia).
The aerial attack was countered by the Ukrainian Air Force, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare units, UAV units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:30 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 577 aerial targets:

12 cruise missiles Kh-101/Iskander-K;

Missile strikes and 35 attack drones hit 22 locations, while debris from downed targets fell on 17 other locations.
Massive strike on Ukraine on November 29
As a reminder, on the night of November 29, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles.
The Kyiv region was hit the hardest, with casualties, injuries, and damage reported.
Some districts of Kyiv experienced power outages following the attack. The city of Fastiv in Kyiv region was also left without electricity.
Russian forces also targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with attack drones and missiles, leaving hundreds of thousands of consumers without power.
In addition, a multi-story residential building and a private house in Brovary were damaged by the attack, with three people injured, one of whom was hospitalized.
Russian forces also struck the energy infrastructure in Chernihiv with an attack drone, causing a fire.
