Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv at night with drones and various types of missiles. The greatest damage was done in the Darnytskyi district, where Russia hit the entrance to a five-story residential building.

RBC-Ukraine shows footage of the aftermath of the combined attack on the capital in its report.

The consequences are being recorded in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, and Desnianskyi districts of the city.

However, significant damage to residential buildings has been reported in Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi.

In the latter, the Russians destroyed part of a five-story building with a direct strike. A rescue operation is underway at the site. Three people were rescued from under the rubble.

Other residential buildings in the area were also damaged. In particular, debris from the UAV fell on the roof of a 9-story building. A fire broke out. A 16-story residential building, a private house, a parking lot, and a kindergarten were also damaged.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko visited the site of the strike. He said that there are reports of people missing as a result of the Russian strike on a building in the Darnytskyi district.

Among the killed is a 14-year-old child. An 11-year-old rescued child is in extremely severe condition in the hospital, Klymenko said.

According to the Minister, there were at least 2 Russian missile strikes: one on the building and one nearby. One of the missiles hit between the third and fourth floors of the five-story building.

In the Dniprovskyi district, Russia damaged a 25-story residential building, a drone hit a courtyard next to a 9-story building, and cars were on fire. Dozens of vehicles were damaged in several places.

In the Solomianskyi district, a private residential building was on fire, but the fire has now been localized.

Russia also struck the Shevchenkivskyi district. Several non-residential buildings, offices, and cars were damaged.

In the Holosiivskyi district, several locations caught fire in the morning as a result of the Russian attack; over 10 houses had their windows broken, and cars were damaged.

In the Desnianskyi district, there is damage in a non-residential area. There is damage in the Obolonskyi district.

"In total, the number of damaged objects in Kyiv will again reach hundreds, thousands of windows will be broken, and a shopping center in the city center will be damaged," said Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Currently, dozens of victims are known in the capital. There are also casualties, including a child.

A newly created special mobile unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Delta, is currently working at one of the locations. Climbers, dog handlers, psychologists, engineers, and fire and rescue equipment have been deployed. Robotic equipment is being actively used to clear the area so that rescuers can work faster.

A total of about 500 rescuers and 1,000 police officers are working simultaneously in Kyiv. The Kyiv police are working with the victims.

Russian combined attack on Ukraine on night of August 28

Russian troops terrorized Ukraine with drones throughout the night. Russia carried out a combined attack on Kyiv with Shahed drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. Many buildings in the city were partially destroyed or damaged.

Russians also struck the Kyiv region with drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, leaving several people wounded.

A total of 45 casualties are currently known in Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who has already responded to the Russian attack, reported 8 killed in the Russian strike.

The Russians also attacked the Intercity+ train depot. Trains are delayed due to the Russian attack, and some passengers are being transported by bus.

In Zaporizhzhia, Russia struck one of the enterprises.

Russian troops also attacked an energy facility in the Vinnytsia region at night. 60,000 residents in 29 settlements were left without power.
