Russian troops struck a children's psychoneurological center in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region tonight, August 1, according to Serhii Starikov, head of the Shevchenkove village military administration.

The psychoneurological boarding school is located in the village of Shevchenkove. The boarding school building was almost destroyed by enemy strikes. Due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, there were no patients in it.

"Around midnight, the Shevchenkove community suffered a brutal Russian air strike. The children's psychoneurological boarding school was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties. We have once again seen the inhuman nature of the Russians," Starikov says.

According to him, the roof, floors, and walls of the boarding school building were destroyed, and all windows and doors were knocked out.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv and region

Since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops have been striking Kharkiv and the region.

On the afternoon of July 30, the village of Vasyshcheve in the Kharkiv district was hit by Russian forces. A civilian enterprise was shelled, a severe fire broke out, and one person was killed.

Also, on the night of July 26, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs, missiles, and drones. Russian strikes damaged high-rise buildings, a company, roads, and the power grid.

In addition, on July 25, the Russians hit a medical facility in the Industrialnyi district of Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb. One person was killed and 17 others were injured as a result of the Russian strike.
