The Russian Ministry of Defense reported "the destruction of all designated targets" in the capital and other regions of Ukraine.

The ministry said that on September 7, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike using precision weapons and attack drones. They targeted facilities for the production, assembly, repair, storage, and launch of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as military airbases in central, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

They said the strikes specifically hit:

  • The industrial enterprise Kyiv-67 is on the western outskirts of Kyiv;
  • The logistics base STS-GROUP is on the southern outskirts of Kyiv.

"The strike objectives have been achieved. All designated targets were destroyed. No strikes were carried out on other sites within Kyiv," the ministry said.

Notably, Russian forces chose not to report any strikes on residential buildings in the capital.

Russian strike on Kyiv on September 7

Earlier this night, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine. They launched a record 810 drones and 13 missiles.

In Kyiv alone, more than 10 locations suffered damage. This included four residential high-rise buildings.

For the first time, Russia struck a government building in central Kyiv, causing a fire. Overnight, 20 people were reported injured, and two were killed — a mother and her three-month-old son.
