Russia concentrates significant efforts in Pokrovsk direction
On the frontline, there were 116 clashes on June 23. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. Ukrainian defense forces are aware of the enemy's plans. They are doing everything possible to thwart them, according to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling
During the day, the enemy launched two missile strikes with four missiles, 47 airstrikes (using 70 guided bombs), and 444 kamikaze drone strikes on Ukraine.
In addition, Russian forces carried out 3,227 shelling attacks on positions held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Frontline situation
The General Staff reported that as of 22:00, there had been 116 clashes.
"Similar to the previous day, the enemy today is concentrating significant efforts in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces have made 46 attempts to displace our defenders from their positions today. More than half of the attacks were carried out from the Ocheretyne area. The situation is tense. Battles for the settlement of Novooleksandrivka are ongoing," the statement said.
The military department noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to stabilize the situation and prevent the advancement of the Russian army into Ukrainian territory.
In the Kharkiv direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled 5 enemy attacks in the area of Vovchansk.
"As of now, since the beginning of this day, the occupiers have lost 99 servicemen killed and wounded, and 14 units of military equipment, including a combat armored vehicle, six cars, and three artillery systems have been destroyed or damaged," military officials said.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks by the Russian army. Additionally, two clashes are ongoing in the areas of Pishchane and Stelmakhivka.
In the Lyman direction, nine enemy attempts to advance in the directions of Kopanky, Makiivka, and the Serebrianske Forestry have been recorded during the current day. Four attacks have been repelled, and assault operations are ongoing. The situation is under the control of Ukrainian soldiers.
In the Siversk direction, the Russian army failed in their attempts to storm our positions near Rozdolivka and Vyimka.
In the Toretsk direction, seven attacks by Russian forces have been halted. Defense forces are responding adequately to the aggressors' actions and are taking necessary measures to exhaust the enemy's offensive potential.
In the Vremivka direction, four clashes occurred. Enemy assaults were repelled in the areas of Urozhaine and Staromaiorske. The situation is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
On the remaining directions, the situation remains unchanged at this time.
The General Staff also highlighted the work of the soldiers of the 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
"Our soldiers are tracking the movements of enemy units and effectively using fire means. Today, we should note the soldiers of the 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, who are confidently holding back the pressure of Russian forces and inflicting significant losses on the army," the military department noted.
According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the situation on the front will remain difficult for at least another month. However, there will be no Armageddon.
