For several days, Russians have been complaining that supposedly Ukrainian drones have reached the Murmansk region, where the Olenya airfield is located, according to ASTRA.

According to the Russians, the drones allegedly flew 1,850 kilometers and reached the village of Vysoky, which is near the Olenya military airfield. Monitoring data indicates that Russia has recently stationed strategic bombers Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 at this airfield.

In particular, Russians are publishing videos of the drone online and claim that people have been evacuated from several enterprises in the Murmansk region. It is also noteworthy that temporary restrictions have been imposed at the Murmansk and "Khibiny airports to ensure the safety of aircraft.

Strike on Olenya airfield

In late July, RBC-Ukraine sources reported a drone attack by Ukrainian intelligence on an oil refinery and three Russian military airfields. Later, the intelligence confirmed this information and termed the operation as an Olympic achievement.

On July 30, Defense Intelligence announced that during the strike on Olenyaairfield, two strategic bombers Tu-22M3 were damaged.
