Ukrainian intelligence confirms strike on Russian Tu-22M3 and oil refinery
The strike on the Russian airfield and oil refinery was an “Olympic achievement” of Ukrainian soldiers. The weekend was very productive, according to Andrii Yusov, representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
“This is truly an "Olympic achievement" of the Ukrainian defense forces, special forces, and intelligence. We do not comment on what and where, but the Supreme Commander-in-Chief noted the long-range capability. Of course, the direction is not difficult to guess. As for the hit, we confirm the fact of the incident, the hit, something hit somewhere,” Yusov says.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine representative also confirmed that the strategic bomber was hit and damaged. According to him, it was an important target, as Russia does not have the capabilities to produce such equipment, and therefore tries to hide it as far away as possible. In particular, this equipment is used to strike at civilian objects, as well as the civilian and energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
“In general, this weekend was very productive. Massive cyberattacks on the financial structure continue in Russia. Incidents continue at Russian refineries and other facilities involved in the war against Ukrainians. And of course, Olenya is such special news and to some extent a dessert for Ukrainians this weekend. And there will be more,” he adds.
