Russians report massive drone attack on Bryansk and Kursk regions
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed the alleged downing of 21 drones in the Bryansk region, which it attributes to Ukraine, according to Russian media and the governor of the Bryansk region, Aleksandr Bogomaz.
According to the governor, several municipal districts of the region were subjected to a massive attack. All air targets were allegedly intercepted and destroyed.
“Within an hour, units of the Russian Ministry of Defense destroyed twelve more aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. Six UAVs were shot down over the Vygonichsky district, three drones were shot down over the territory of the Trubchevsky district, one over the Karachevsky, Brassovsky and Bryansk districts,” the governor wrote, adding that ”there were no casualties or damage.”
Later, Russian media quoted the governor as saying that 6 UAVs were also allegedly shot down over the Kursk region.
On the night of July 26, the Saky military air base in Novofedorivka burned down as a result of an air attack in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to Krymskyi Veter, an ammunition depot was hit at the airfield.
Officially, the governor of the occupation administration of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported only a “ballistic threat."
According to ASTRA, the attack may have destroyed a Russian radar station.
