Ukraine and Russia have managed to reach an agreement on the issue of conducting regular humanitarian missions, according to Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratovaю

The Russian ombudsman noted that the operation in Oleshky was preceded by months of work and negotiations.

She wrote on the Russian social network Max that the mission had concluded but that living conditions in Oleshky remained extremely difficult. She added that they had agreed to conduct regular humanitarian missions, describing this as a very important step.

Lantratova also added that she continues to work jointly with Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

It is important to note that the Ukrainian authorities have neither confirmed nor denied this statement so far.

Despite this, Lubinets expressed hope the day before that the humanitarian mission in Oleshky is only the beginning.

"We want the experience of Oleshky to be more than an isolated case. It could become the foundation for a new mechanism for responding to complex humanitarian crises," he emphasized.

On October 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the evacuated residents of Oleshky had crossed into Ukrainian territory in the Chernihiv region - the mission concluded successfully.

Incidentally, RBC-Ukraine reported on how the evacuated people were welcomed in their homeland and also showed the first photos and videos from the scene.

Subsequently, it became known how US First Lady Melania Trump, who facilitated this process in every way, reacted to the completion of the evacuation of Oleshky residents.
