Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles overnight: Air Force reveals destroyed targets
On the night of February 23, the Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Ukraine with attack drones and missiles of several types. Combat work to repel the air attack was carried out in four regions, according to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, the Russians launched 31 Shaheds at Ukraine, 23 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
In addition to the kamikaze drones, the enemy also attacked last night with three S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, a Kh-31P anti-radar missile, and two Kh-22 cruise missiles.
"Air defense destroyed 23 attack UAVs within Odesa, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Dnipro, and Kharkiv regions," the defenders of the sky report.

Russian air attack on Ukraine on night of February 23
On Thursday evening, an air alert was declared in Ukraine's central and southern regions due to the threat of Kh-22 missile attacks from Russian Tu-22m3 aircraft. Later it became known that the enemy planes launched missiles in the direction of Odesa. At about 11 p.m., an explosion occurred in Odesa.
Later, the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine said that the Russian occupiers used Shahed-131/136 attack drones to strike the Odesa region, and Kh-31P and Kh-22 missiles were fired from tactical and strategic aircraft from the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 9 Russian kamikaze drones. One of the drones hit over the sea fell on the building of an enterprise in the coastal zone of the city and caused destruction and fire. Initially, there was information about one dead person, and it was also reported that there could still be people inside. Later it became known that the number of victims in Odesa had increased to three.
After midnight, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of detecting Russian Shahed attack drones. In particular, the military spoke about the movement of kamikaze drones in the direction of Dnipro and the region. Later, explosions were also heard in Dnipro.
In the morning, local authorities reported that the number of victims in Dnipro had reached eight people in total due to the hit of a Russian Shahed in a high-rise building. Emergency and rescue operations continue at the site.
