In Odesa, under the rubble of the building of the enterprise hit by a Russian combat drone, rescuers discovered the bodies of two more victims. Thus, the death toll has increased to three people, according to the Telegram channel of the Defence Forces of South of Ukraine.

"The bodies of two more deceased individuals have been found under the rubble. In total, there are 3 casualties as a result of the enemy attack," the statement reads.

The military also informed about the cessation of search operations at the incident site.

"Search operations have been stopped. Demolition and clearing activities are underway," as reported by the Armed Forces.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, confirmed the information regarding the increased number of casualties from the Russian airstrike.

"The bodies of two more individuals have been found under the rubble. In total, three people have lost their lives due to the enemy attack. Search operations have been halted. I express sincere condolences to the families and relatives," as stated in his Telegram message.

Russian airstrike on the night of February 23

It was previously reported that on Thursday evening, an air raid alert was declared in central and southern regions of Ukraine due to the threat of Kh-22 missile strikes from Russian Tu-22M3 aircraft. Later, it became known that enemy aircraft launched missiles towards Odesa. Around 11:00 p.m., an explosion was heard in Odesa.

Later, the Southern Ukrainian Armed Forces revealed that occupiers used Shahed-131/136 combat drones for strikes on the Odesa region, as well as missiles Kh-31P and Kh-22 from tactical and strategic aviation aircraft from the Black Sea waters.

The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down 9 Russian kamikaze drones. It is noted that one of the drones hit over the sea crashed into a building of an enterprise in the coastal zone of the city, causing destruction and a fire. Initially, there were reports of one casualty, and it was also mentioned that there could be people inside.

After midnight, the Ukrainian Air Force also warned of the detection of enemy kamikaze drones Shahed. Military reported the movement of kamikaze drones towards Dnipro and the surrounding region. Later, explosions were also reported in Dnipro.

By morning, local authorities announced that in Dnipro, as a result of the enemy Shahed drone hitting a multi-story building, the total number of casualties reached eight people. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing at the scene.
