Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles: targets downed by air defense revealed
The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones and S-300 missiles tonight, December 14. Air defense forces destroyed more than 40 enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russian occupation forces fired 6 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles in the direction of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions around midnight.
The Russians also attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. The launches were carried out in waves from three directions: Balaklava, Chauda - Crimea, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia. In total, 42 enemy drones were launched.
Odesa region was the main target of the attack.
"Last night, the defenders of the sky managed to shoot down 41 out of 42 attack UAVs. The vast majority were in the Odesa region," the Air Force says in a statement.
Attack on the Odesa region
On the night of December 14, the Russian Federation attacked the Odesa region. As a result, a car and an outbuilding caught fire. The fire damaged 11 nearby buildings. Also, 11 people were injured, including 3 children.
Russia also struck Ukraine with attack drones and missiles on the night of December 13. A fire broke out in the Odesa region due to the falling wreckage of kamikaze drones shot down by air defense. Two civilians were injured in the attack. One of the wounded men later died in hospital.
