Russia attacked Odesa region: Fires broke out, more than 10 people affected
Overnight on December 14, the Russian Federation once again shelled the Odesa region. The attack resulted in damage to buildings, fires, and injuries to local residents, including children, according to information from the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
Rescuers reported that, as a result of the shelling, a passenger car and an outbuilding caught fire. Eleven nearby buildings were damaged in the attack.
According to preliminary information, 11 people were affected at the scene, including 3 children. Following examination by medical service personnel, five individuals with injuries, including three children, were hospitalized.
A mobile warming station has been established at the site, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) are providing assistance to the affected individuals and residents. The Red Cross is organizing the delivery of food and warm clothing.
Eight units of equipment and 30 rescuers from the DSNS are involved in the response efforts.
Russian shelling in the Odesa region
On the night of December 13, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using kamikaze drones and missiles from the area of Balaklava in Crimea.
A fire broke out in the Odesa region due to the debris from the shot-down kamikaze drones. Two civilians were affected as a result of the attack.
Later, one of the injured men died in the hospital.
