On the night of November 17, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine. The enemy used attack drones and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
According to the Air Force, the Russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region. The launches of 128 Shahed, Gerbera, and other modified attack drones were carried out from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea.
About 80 of the drones were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by the Defense Forces' aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups.
As of 09:00, preliminary data indicate that 91 enemy drones were shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
At the same time, 32 hits by attack UAVs were recorded in 15 settlements, as well as strikes by two ballistic missiles in two locations.
The attack continues — several enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace. The Defense Forces urge citizens to follow safety rules and stay in shelters.
Attacks on November 17
During the night, Russian forces attacked energy and port infrastructure in several cities of the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, several vessels were damaged and one person was injured.
The Russians also attacked Balakliia in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the missile strike, there were fatalities and injuries. According to preliminary information, three people were killed and 13 others were injured, including four children.
