Strikes on Odesa and the region
Russian forces have significantly intensified their attacks on Odesa and the region recently, with the port and energy infrastructure most often coming under attack.
In particular, as a result of massive attacks in recent days on the infrastructure of Pivdennyi port, a spill of vegetable oil into the water area was recorded. This led to the pollution of the coastal zone of Odesa.
Earlier, Russian forces again attacked the port of Odesa with strike drones. As a result of the attack, a civilian vessel under the Lebanese flag carrying Ukrainian soybeans was damaged.
Russian troops have also begun mass attacks on the bridge in Maiaky on the Odesa–Reni highway, which complicated travel to border crossing points and western settlements of the region. Authorities and transport services have developed alternative routes.
