Russia attacks Kupiansk, power lines fall on people, casualties reported
Russian troops shelled Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed, and one man was injured, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
On November 9, around 11:00 AM, Russian Armed Forces carried out an airstrike on the city of Kupiansk.
"As a result of the shelling, power lines fell on two passersby – a man and a woman. A fire broke out. Unfortunately, the people died at the scene. Their bodies were severely burned. The identities of the deceased are being established," the prosecutor's office reported.
Additionally, a 61-year-old man was injured. Private houses, multi-apartment residential buildings, and utility structures were damaged, and 15 garages were destroyed.
Preliminarily, the occupiers struck the city with a KAB-1500 bomb.

Kupiansk is a city in the Kharkiv region. During the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the city was captured.
Later, in the fall of 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces regained control of Kupiansk.
However, despite this, Russian forces continue to shell the city. On October 24, Russian troops struck near a store and a market in Kupiansk. The occupiers attacked the city with a thermobaric bomb. 11 people were injured, and one woman was killed.
