Russia attacks energy facilities in two Ukrainian regions within 24 hours, several injured
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked two energy facilities in two regions of Ukraine. Infrastructure in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions came under attack, according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Russian shelling of Kharkiv and region
In the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attack at night damaged the equipment of a power facility. A fire broke out and was extinguished by the State Emergency Service.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties," the statement says.
In addition, a 64-year-old mechanic of the Kharkiv city branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC was injured in Kharkiv during the elimination of the consequences of a night drone attack.
"He was taken to the hospital in a moderate condition. The vehicle of the dispatching service was also damaged," the Ministry of Energy adds.
Russian shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russians shelled one of the solar power plants, damaging the equipment of the enterprise and starting a fire.
"A security guard was burned during the firefighting. Within an hour, the fire was extinguished by the station's personnel and the State Emergency Service," the Ministry adds.
Russian shelling of Sumy region
Russian troops attacked the border of the Sumy region on April 3. During the shelling of the village of Samotiivka in the Krasnopillia community, one person was killed and a 4-year-old child was wounded.
On April 4, the Ministry of Energy reported that a 47-year-old employee of the Sumy branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC was fatally injured by an air bomb during the bombing of Samotiivka.
