As a result of Friday's strike on the command post in Rylsk, Kursk region, the Russians lost dozens of key officers. Not only their own but also North Korean officers, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview for the Associated Press.

According to him, despite intelligence reports and publications in the Western media that North Korean troops have been withdrawn from the front line, there is information about the possible transfer of another 20-25 thousand personnel.

He also noted that on January 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a strong operation.

"In the Kursk direction, their central command post was hit. And key officers of Russia and North Korea were killed yesterday... they (Russians - ed.) lost. It was a military target of ours, a fair one. There was a missile attack from our side and the use of various types of weapons. They were subjected to a comprehensive strike. I think we are talking about dozens of officers. They have lost dozens of officers," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Strike on command post in Kursk region

On Friday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that rocket launchers and artillery of the Defense Forces hit the command post of the Russian Kursk group of troops in the city of Rylsk.

As a result of the attack, the center was destroyed. No other details were given. However, it was clarified that this operation was part of a systematic effort to deprive Russia of the ability to effectively coordinate combat operations and logistics.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian Vice-Governor of Primorsky Krai Sergey Efremov, who headed the Tiger unit, was killed at the front in the Kursk region. According to Telegram channels, his car hit a mine and exploded.

The day before, the Russian forces hit a boarding school in Suzha, where local residents were preparing to evacuate. So far, four people have been reported dead. There may be more casualties, as constant attacks prevent the Ukrainian commandant's office from clearing the rubble.
