Russia accuses Ukraine of refusing 1,000 POWs in exchange deal

The head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations, Vladimir Medinsky, claimed that the third large-scale prisoner exchange has not begun allegedly due to "Ukraine's refusal to accept 1,000 prisoners." However, this is yet another manipulation by the enemy, according to Russian media and Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council.
What Russia is claiming
Today, Russian media began spreading information alleging that "Kyiv is selectively retrieving only some of the prisoners of war offered by Russia for exchange."
Enemy propagandists claim that Ukraine has supposedly already refused to take back 1,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners of war.
Medinsky also made this false statement.
According to him, the third large-scale prisoner exchange with Ukraine "has not yet begun due to Kyiv's refusal."
A fake "statement" allegedly on behalf of Ukrainian prisoners of war also appeared online, claiming that "certain individuals were removed from the exchange lists."
What the CCD says
The Center for Countering Disinformation refuted another Russian fake, stating that it is part of Russia's ongoing campaign to discredit prisoner exchanges.
"This information is not true. Ukraine insists on the 'all for all' exchange principle. Russia, on the other hand, is trying to discredit the process and avoid this format of prisoner exchange," the Center emphasized.
