Rubio meets Lavrov after Zelenskyy’s talks with Trump

A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio began in New York on Wednesday, September 23, DRM News reports.
The meeting between representatives of the United States and the aggressor state is being held behind closed doors.
In particular, journalists were allowed to film the first few minutes of the talks, after which they were asked to leave the room.
Media representatives asked questions, but received no answers.

Earlier, Rubio said that there would be no winners in the war in Ukraine. He added that it would be logical to end it and that, ultimately, it would conclude with a peace agreement.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that yesterday, September 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with his US counterpart Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, after which he named a condition for an energy ceasefire with Russia.
In addition, during his speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Donald Trump emphasized that the war in Ukraine would end "more quickly than people understand."
Zelenskyy also expressed hope that the war in Ukraine could be ended before winter with Trump's help.
