Romanian Foreign Ministry summons Russian Embassy over drone debris in Romania
The Charge d'Affaires of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest was summoned to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to the discovery of Shahed fragments in Tulcea County after the Russian attack on Ukraine, according to the Romanian Foreign Ministry.
The Romanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed the Romanian authorities' strong protest and condemned the repeated Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, calling for their immediate cessation.
He reminded that attacks on civilian objects constitute war crimes. He also emphasized the irresponsibility of such attacks, particularly near the Romanian border, which jeopardizes the country's national security.
More broadly, the Romanian Foreign Ministry representative emphasized Russia's sole responsibility for the serious deterioration of the security situation in the Black Sea following its aggression against Ukraine.
