Residents of Russia's Belgorod region deliberately leave their old cars on the streets, hoping that drones will damage them. This is how they try to receive compensation, states the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, according to Meduza.

"Relatives' conversations: 'Our settlement is being attacked, let's roll the car out of the garage, maybe it will get shot at – at least we'll get money. The car is old, it can't be sold or used for anything,'" Gladkov shared.

He demands that during house-to-house inspections, residents be asked to store their cars in garages.

Additionally, according to the governor, groups of residents are being formed in the Belgorod region who are demanding relocation "while the war is still ongoing," so they don't have to live in old houses.

Gladkov called on officials to warn residents that if such schemes continue, they could face criminal liability.

"We do not have the task of improving the material well-being of our residents in these areas. Our task is to help residents cope with an extremely difficult situation through federal and regional support measures. But fraudulent actions are beginning to happen more and more frequently," he added.

Russian soldiers are causing havoc in the Belgorod region.

Earlier, the I Want to Live project released an interception of a conversation between two Russians. They discuss drunken mischief, fights, and harassment by Russian soldiers in the villages of the Belgorod region.

A Russian citizen explains that the Russian soldiers feel they are above the law, which is why they do whatever they want there.
