Russian soldiers' debauchery in rear areas revealed in intercepted conversation

In an intercepted conversation between two Russians, a woman from the Belgorod region tells a Russian soldier about the drunken brawls, fights, and harassment caused by Russian troops in border villages, informs the "I Want to Live" project.
"Russia’s border areas continue to feel the full impact of what the Russian army is like. And we’re not even talking about the airstrikes dropped by the Russian Aerospace Forces on their own civilians. We’re talking about how Putin’s troops behave in the rear," noted the center.
In a newly intercepted conversation shared by the "I Want to Live" project, a Russian serviceman tells an acquaintance from Belgorod that his comrades often go to get vodka on a tank. She responds that similar incidents occur almost daily in her village and neighboring areas, with soldiers drinking heavily and acting out of line.
"They got drunk and were looking for women in Bubnovo! They want young girls… People were shouting 'Help!'... They do whatever they want. Drunk, they roam the village, fighting right in front of people," the Russian woman explained.
According to her, the Russian soldiers feel completely untouchable.
"They wander drunk around the village — both in Khalan and here in Peschanoye. They fight right in front of people," she added.
As an example of their “cultural entertainment,” she recalls an episode when drunk soldiers sang Katyusha (a Soviet-era song about a girl bidding farewell to a soldier) loudly for the entire village of Peschanoye.
Meanwhile, the Russian soldier she's speaking to is currently in the rear after being injured. According to him, he's working on repairing equipment. He complains about the situation at the front.
"There’s no excitement… The last thing we need is for them to send us back there," he said.
The "I Want to Live" project noted that residents of Russia's border areas have experienced firsthand what "protection" from the Russian army is really like.
They say it is not just about bombings when Russia’s Aerospace Forces drop bombs on their own citizens. It’s also about the everyday behavior of drunken and unrestrained soldiers in the rear.
Other interceptions by Ukrainian intelligence
Ukrainian intelligence occasionally shares intercepted conversations from the frontlines. For example, at the end of January, Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation in which Russians complained about their command.
They were particularly upset about being sent on "meat grinder" assaults.
Later, Ukrainian intelligence intercepted another conversation between the Russians, in which the enemy commander ordered his troops to fire on their own.
