Putin seeks to manipulate Trump’s push for peace - Zelenskyy

Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to manipulate world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, in his pursuit of peace, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, I held a meeting of the Staff. There were several issues. A report from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (Oleh Ivashchenko - ed.) on Russia’s military potential and Putin’s readiness to continue the war and manipulate world leaders," he said.
In particular, the President emphasized that Putin aims to manipulate President Donald Trump’s desire for peace.
"I am confident that no Russian manipulations will succeed anymore," he added.
Ukraine-Russia talks
Recently, there have been many statements regarding potential negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and the ending of the war. Despite reports from the Center for Countering Disinformation indicating that Russia is preparing for continued fighting throughout 2025, possible scenarios for future peace talks are being increasingly discussed.
On January 24, Putin said that Kyiv has a ban on negotiations with Russia. However, any such statements from the Russian side hold little weight, as the attacks on Ukraine do not stop.
During the night and morning of January 24, Russia launched nearly 70 drones at Ukraine, killing three people in Kyiv region.
