Putin and Zelenskyy should meet together - Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin should hold a joint meeting. The leaders should discuss ending the war in Ukraine during the negotiations, states US President Donald Trump.
The White House chief believes that Putin and Zelenskyy should meet because we want to stop the killing of millions of people and young soldiers.
"Soldiers are being killed by the thousands a week, thousands of soldiers a week. As we speak, that they're being killed. That's why I want to see a cease fire. And I want to get the deal done. I think we have a chance to get the deal done," Trump said.
Trump asked himself how they could ensure that Russia wanted the same thing, but he did not provide an answer. He repeated once again that the war should never have started.
Trump's position on the war in Ukraine
During his election campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly promised to end the war in Ukraine. After taking office as US president, he began making pro-Russian statements and effectively blamed Ukraine's leadership for the war’s outbreak.
In particular, Trump believes that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a dictator without elections, claiming that over three years of war, he has done nothing to end the conflict.
On Friday, February 21, the White House chief stated that Russia is responsible for the war, but also shifted some of the blame onto Zelenskyy and former US President Joe Biden.
Moreover, Trump believes that Putin wants to reach a peace agreement, but added that he shouldn’t make a deal, as he could have taken all of Ukraine.
He is also convinced that Europe has done nothing to end the war in Ukraine.
