US President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy allegedly did nothing over the past three years to end the war, as he had not organized any negotiations. Trump also mentioned the losses of Ukraine and Russia based on his own data, the international multimedia broadcaster Voice of America reports.

"We are successfully negotiating how to put an end to the war with Russia. And only the Trump administration can do this - even Putin acknowledged that. I don’t know what Zelenskyy wants - for the money to keep coming in? He got upset that he wasn’t invited to Saudi Arabia... But in three years, he hasn’t organized a single meeting or phone call," Trump said at an investment forum in Miami.

According to the US President, Zelenskyy refuses to organize elections because his approval rating is low, which "can’t be high when cities lie in ruins." Trump called Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" and advised him to "act faster, or else there will be nothing left of the country and nothing to govern."

Trump also stated the number of casualties on both sides. According to him, Ukraine allegedly lost 700,000 people, while Russia - 900,000.

"It’s terrible. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a very poor job - he hasn’t done anything for three years," the Head of the White House said.

Commenting on the negotiations between Russian and US delegations in Saudi Arabia, Trump noted that they went very well and were a step forward.

Trump expressed hope that he would achieve peace, go down in history as a peacemaker, and that a "golden age of America" was approaching.

"I hope that my greatest legacy will be that I achieved peace. I will go down in history as a peacemaker. Ultimately, I must say that the golden age of America is coming - all our citizens know this," the US President noted.

Earlier, the US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated that work is currently underway to achieve a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, and the next step will be the creation of working groups.

On Tuesday, February 18, a meeting took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between representatives of Washington and the Kremlin regarding ending the war in Ukraine. Waltz was part of the American delegation. Following the meeting, the US high-ranking official reminded that Trump had clearly expressed his desire to put an end to the war.
