Putin acting recklessly: Starmer urges Trump to step up pressure on Russia

The US needs to increase pressure on Russia, as President Vladimir Putin has become too emboldened in the context of the war against Ukraine, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said at a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump.
Starmer said that Trump needs to pressure Putin to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, because the Kremlin leader has "become too emboldened and is acting recklessly."
"So we have to ramp up... We have built the Coalition of the Willing with British leadership and French leadership, stepping up with military planning in the seas, in the sky, on the ground, and ramping up what we do with the Ukrainians themselves. And, of course, that, taken with an American guarantee, is now an example, I think, of the challenge of Europe stepping up to the plate," the British prime minister added.
Attack on Poland
On the night of September 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked not only Ukraine but also Poland with drones.
Both Ukrainian and Polish officials claimed that the attack was deliberate.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained that such a strike has several objectives. According to him, Moscow specifically wanted to see what kind of response NATO countries are prepared to give.
Zelenskyy also stated that Putin aims to pressure Western allies to stop supplying air defense systems to Ukraine, as they might also be needed for their own defense.
