The priority of Ukraine's military leadership remains to provide defenders with weapons across all frontlines. The task is to strengthen the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as much as possible and to exert maximum pressure on Russia, according to an evening address by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As Zelenskyy mentioned, today he received a report from Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"The first priority is to provide weapons for our soldiers in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Toretsk directions, and across all the Donetsk directions, throughout the front. This includes supply issues and production, both in Ukraine and in collaboration with partners," the president noted.

According to him, the main task at the moment is to strengthen the positions of the Ukrainian troops as much as possible and to exert maximum pressure on Russia.

"This war can only be ended justly from strong positions. We are doing everything for this. Everything," emphasized the head of state.

Situation on the front

As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region has affected the situation on the front in Ukraine. The Russian forces have reduced their use of artillery.

It should be noted that the situation remains challenging in the Pokrovsk direction in Ukraine over the past few months. This area consistently reports the highest number of battles.
