"I expressed my condolences over the lives lost as a result of Iran’s insane strikes," Zelenskyy says.
A statement quoting the UAE President said that the Iranian regime is striking not only military targets, but also homes, malls, and even mosques.
"We discussed how we can help in this situation and support the protection of lives. It was agreed that our teams will work on this. Protecting lives is a shared priority for everyone in the world," Zelenskyy emphasizes.
US operation against Iran
On February 28, 2026, Israel and the US launched a series of strikes against Iran. Almost a day after the operation, US President Donald Trump said that the failure of the latest negotiations on a new nuclear deal prompted his decision.
In response, Tehran launched a massive attack using ballistic missiles and drones on Israel and US allies, where Pentagon military bases are located. These countries include Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
As of March 3, the fighting continues. In an interview, Trump said that the US has not yet begun to strike hard and that a big wave of attacks is coming soon.
CNN sources reported that the US was preparing to intensify attacks on Iran in the next 24 hours. According to Washington's estimates, Iran's defenses have weakened, so it is now possible to move on to the next stage - the destruction of missile production, drones, and the navy.
Yesterday, March 2, the US Embassy in Kuwait came under attack. After a series of Iranian strikes, a column of black smoke rose above the diplomatic mission building.
Today, Trump said that soon everyone would see what the response would be to the attack on the US embassy in Riyadh and the killing of American servicemen during the confrontation with Iran.
