In the early hours of June 10, Kyiv faced one of the largest Russian attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion. During the strikes, patrol police officers provided assistance to people, according to the head of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksii Biloshytskyi.

"The enemy attack lasted for more than five hours. Risking their own lives, patrol officers and rescuers remained alongside city residents the entire time. We evacuated people to safe locations, helped extinguish fires, and ensured access for emergency vehicles," the statement said.

Biloshytskyi published bodycam footage from patrol officers who were on site in one of the capital's districts. The video captures the first minutes of the attack on Kyiv.

The video shows two strikes by Shahed-type kamikaze drones. The distinctive buzzing of the drones, explosions, and bright flashes after the hits are clearly audible and visible. During the attack, patrol officers urged pedestrians to take immediate shelter.

Unfortunately, one woman was killed, and others were injured. The residential buildings, non-residential premises, and cars were damaged.

Attack on Kyiv on June 10

On the night of June 10, Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Kyiv.

Throughout the night, the enemy continuously terrorized the capital with drones. Russian troops struck civilian infrastructure and peaceful residents of the city. The Russian army also used missiles. Destruction was recorded in seven districts of Kyiv.

According to the military, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 10, 284 targets had been destroyed.

The powerful blast wave damaged the cornice of the facade of St. Sophia Cathedral, an 11th-century architectural monument included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian attack.
