Russia may be preparing a false-flag operation involving Ukrainian drones, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said, according to Polsat News.

During a visit to the United States, Sikorski confirmed that Poland expects such a Russian provocation and added that Ukrainian drones could play a key role in it.

"Putin even said something similar about a month ago. He said that if a North Atlantic Treaty Organization member state attacks us, we will respond. Therefore, we suspect that he plans to prepare Ukrainian drones and use them to attack a North Atlantic Treaty Organization member state or Russia, and then respond to such an attack," the minister said.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin may resort to such actions "because he is desperate and losing."

"Such regimes always behave this way. Let me remind you of the Gleiwitz incident of 1939, when Abwehr agents disguised as Polish soldiers seized radio stations on the territory of the then-Reich. Our message to Vladimir Putin is this: we know what you are planning, don't do it," Sikorski added.

Russian provocations

Media reports recently claimed that the United States had warned Poland about a possible limited Russian armed provocation in the coming months aimed at testing the resolve of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Commenting on those reports, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Russia does not have the resources to carry out a military attack on Poland and that Russian President Vladimir Putin will ultimately be defeated in the war against Ukraine.

Russia is already waging an active hybrid and kinetic war against European countries, including Poland and France. Western intelligence has reliable information that the Kremlin is preparing new provocations and acts of sabotage in Europe.

Earlier, Sikorski said that publicly disclosing these plans is intended to act as a deterrent and prevent Moscow from carrying out further aggression.

In addition to acts of sabotage, the Kremlin is relying on information campaigns. Russian intelligence services and millions of internet trolls are actively trying to provoke conflicts between Kyiv and Warsaw.

According to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the enemy is deliberately fueling emotions around historical disputes in an attempt to drive a wedge between Ukraine and Poland. Senior Kremlin officials, including Dmitry Medvedev and Maria Zakharova, are openly involved in these information campaigns.
