Poland promises consequences for any violation of its borders

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that any further attempts to attack Poland would always meet with an adequate response, Wiadomosci.pl reported.
The head of government stated that "anyone who decides in any way to attack Poland, Polish territory or Polish airspace, will always have to reckon with an adequate reaction."
"Anyone who wants to attack Poland in any way will be adequately punished, as was the case on the night of September 10," the prime minister said, summing up the meeting of the National Security Council.
Tusk assured that Poland would "very precisely and closely monitor events on the eastern border related to the Russian and Belarusian military exercises Zapad."
"Nothing will escape our attention, and we will, of course, inform our allies about everything," the head of government said.
The prime minister stressed that the Polish authorities "do not assume, but are absolutely certain that Russia is behind this provocation."
"We reject all manipulation and disinformation suggesting that Ukraine was behind the attack. The responsibility lies with the Russia," Tusk emphasized.
Russian drone provocation
On the night of September 10, about 20 Russian attack drones violated Polish airspace from Ukraine and Belarus. Polish air defense shot down only 4 of them.
The air forces of Poland and NATO allies deployed F-35 and F-16 fighter jets, as well as Mi-24, Mi-17, and Black Hawk helicopters to intercept. Following the attack, Polish forces discovered debris from 16 attack drones.
Some of the drones were aimed at the logistics hub in Rzeszów, where a supply node for delivering weapons to Ukraine is located.
After the raid, the foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle countries called on partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defense due to the escalation of the war and rising tensions.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed that European countries join a new program to produce interceptor drones against enemy UAVs.
