Poland's Tusk says no one should pressure Zelenskyy over territorial concessions

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on allies to pressure Russia, not Ukraine, to end the war and force Russian leader Vladimir Putin to finally negotiate peace.
He emphasized that no Western leader should pressure President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make territorial concessions to Russia.
"None of us should put pressure on Zelenskyy when it comes to territorial concessions. We should all put pressure on Russia to stop its aggression. Appeasement never was a road to a just and lasting peace," he wrote.
Media reports suggested that Trump urged Zelenskyy to accept Putin's terms to end the war, warning that otherwise, Russia would "destroy" Ukraine.
In an interview with Fox News on October 19, Trump said he was confident the war would end, adding that Putin "is gonna take something" since he already controls part of Ukraine's territory.
The Washington Post reported on October 18 that during a phone call with Trump, Putin demanded full control over the Donetsk region in exchange for a supposed withdrawal of Russian forces from the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Zelenskyy responded, "We will grant the aggressor no gifts and forget nothing."
