The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, supports the deployment of nuclear weapons in his country and counts on France in this matter, LCI reports.

When asked whether he hopes French nuclear weapons will be deployed in Poland, Nawrocki said that "Poland must be included in the program for nuclear weapons deployment."

"As president of the Republic of Poland, I believe that Poland should take part in nuclear sharing. It should have its own nuclear, energy, civilian, and military capacities. The partnership between Poland and France is based precisely on this," the Polish President noted.

He emphasized that he wants to do everything necessary to ensure Poland’s security.

"Maybe it is still too early to talk about this. But if you ask me whether Poland should take part in nuclear sharing, I will of course say 'yes'," Nawrocki added.

France is ready to deploy nuclear weapons in Europe

Earlier, we reported that France allows for the deployment of its nuclear weapons on the territory of allies to replace the United States' nuclear arsenal in Europe.

The media also reported that France may deploy its nuclear-armed fighter jets in Germany.

Later, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he had begun strategic discussions on defending the entire continent with the help of French nuclear weapons.
