Poland reports Russian missile debris from latest Russian strike

In the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland, military police are conducting an operation following reports of a possible discovery of debris from a missile that shot down a drone during a recent Russian attack, reports RMF24.
The work is being carried out in the city of Chojny, where there may be remnants of a missile, presumably used to shoot down the drone. The military police will conduct a thorough investigation of the scene on Friday morning.
The investigation will be conducted by the Military Police Investigation Department in Lublin in cooperation with the Forensic Laboratory and under the supervision of the District Military Prosecutor's Office.
According to the media, a resident less than 30 km from Lublin contacted the police after finding the missile in a field. Officers immediately arrived at the scene and called in the military.
Russian drones in Poland
On the night of September 9-10, during Russia's massive attack on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. They were shot down by Polish and allied aircraft.
In the Lublin Voivodeship, a private house was damaged during the operation. According to Polish media reports, it may have been hit by a missile from an F-16 fighter jet launched at a drone.
Other drones that were not shot down probably crashed after running out of fuel. The wreckage of 16 aircraft was found in areas bordering Ukraine.
According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a total of 19 drones were recorded. Fighter jets were scrambled to intercept them, but only four targets were destroyed.
