A study of a Russian Kh-101 missile in Poland has shown that Russia is using recently manufactured weapons to carry out strikes on Ukraine, according to Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Polish experts, including specialists from the Military Gendarmerie, continue to examine the wreckage of a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile that was discovered after it violated Poland's airspace.
According to him, the analysis of the missile fragments is providing increasingly detailed information about its origin and production date.

Kosiniak-Kamysz said experts had determined that the missile was manufactured in the second quarter of 2026 at a facility located near Moscow.
According to the Polish official, this may indicate that Russia is using weapons produced only shortly before being deployed in strikes against Ukraine.

The Polish deputy prime minister said the findings support assessments that Russia's stockpiles of precision-guided weapons are gradually being depleted.
"The missile was built in the second quarter of this year at a factory near Moscow. This means that Russia is using missiles manufactured very recently to attack Ukraine. This confirms reports that Russian military stockpiles have been depleted," Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
He also stressed that continued support for Ukraine remains important because, in his view, it helps bring the war closer to an end and has a direct impact on the security of European countries.
