Victims of poisoning, including the wife of the Head of Ukraine's Military Intelligence, Marianna Budanova, and intelligence officers, received treatment at a Ukrainian clinic, according to a representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov.

"The current health condition is satisfactory after undergoing a treatment course at a Ukrainian clinic, thanks to timely action and the professionalism of Ukrainian doctors," the statement reads.

Yusov mentions that everything is currently fine, but there will be ongoing medical supervision, regular check-ups, and a lengthy process ahead.

"These are complex cases that require constant monitoring. We hope that there are no further threats," Yusov adds.

The Defense Intelligence representative also informs that an internal investigation is underway, being handled by the internal security unit of the Ukrainian Intelligence, with specialists diligently addressing the matter.

Attack on Marianna Budanova

Previously, RBC-Ukraine, based on information from sources within the security services, reported that the wife of the Head of Ukraine's Military Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, was poisoned with heavy metals. Marianna Budanova was hospitalized and was completing her course of treatment.

The source clarified that it's currently unknown whether this was a one-time poisoning or if Marianna was poisoned incrementally over time. The sources in the security services also shared information about Kyrylo Budanov's condition after the news of his wife's poisoning. It is known that he is fine, and poisoning has not been established in his case.

Later, a source in intelligence reported that Marianna Budanova could have been poisoned with heavy metals, specifically arsenic and mercury.
