MiG-29 crashes in Poltava region, Ukraine

On the night of June 27, a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet crashed in the Poltava region. The pilot successfully ejected, reports the Ukrainian Air Force.
On the night of June 27, contact was lost with a MiG-29 fighter jet conducting a combat mission in the Poltava region.
“We confirm the loss of the aircraft; however, the Ukrainian pilot successfully ejected, made contact with the search and rescue team, and was promptly transported to a medical facility for examination and to receive the necessary care,” the Air Force reported.
The causes and circumstances are currently under investigation.
On June 16, another Ukrainian Su-24M bomber crashed in the Khmelnytskyi region.
Military officials specified that the pilot and navigator were carrying out a mission in the Khmelnytskyi region. They were killed in the crash.
