Ukrainian intelligence chief's wife could be poisoned by arsenic and mercury, sources
The wife of the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, could have been poisoned with heavy metals, namely arsenic and mercury, as sources within the intelligence told RBC-Ukraine.
Earlier, the intelligence confirmed that Marianna Budanova had been poisoned with heavy metals but did not specify which ones.
According to the sources, Budanova could have been poisoned with arsenic and mercury, most likely via food.
What is known about the poisoning
Yesterday, RBC-Ukraine, citing a source within the special services, reported that the wife of the chief of intelligence was poisoned with heavy metals. Marianna Budanova is currently in the hospital and is completing her course of treatment.
The source clarified that it was currently unknown whether it was a one-time poisoning or if Marianna was poisoned over some time in portions.
Sources in the special services also provided information about Budanov's condition after the news of his wife's poisoning. He is fine, and the poisoning has not been confirmed.
