Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized Western partners for the low number of air defense systems in Ukraine, according to the statement of the Ukrainian president in Latvia.

Zelenskyy points out that if partners had provided Ukraine with more powerful air defense systems, "people would not have died from Russia's massive missile strikes" using ballistic missiles.

"And how can you live peacefully and sleep when you understand that you have dozens of such systems (Patriot - Ed.), and if Ukraine had been given 7 systems today, people in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Odesa would not have died? Can you live normally with that?" emphasizes the president.

Security guarantees for Ukraine

In early July of last year, G7 countries approved a declaration pledging security guarantees to Ukraine. Over 30 countries have already joined it.

Yesterday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy identified members of the delegation on security guarantees for Ukraine. The list includes, among others, the Head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, and the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleksandr Lytvynenko.

Today, he has noted that Ukraine is constantly working on security guarantees for itself and its citizens.
