Meaghan Mobbs, daughter of US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, responds to Russia's attack on a bus carrying miners after their shift in the Dnipropetrovsk region. She says that Russia's attacks are intensifying amid talks of peace negotiations.

Mobbs calls the Russian attack on the workers' bus "another horrific tragedy" and says that it is pointless to talk about any documents on prosperity or peace at this time.

According to her, there is a direct link between the intensification of Russian attacks and attempts to conduct peace negotiations.

On peace negotiations and Russia's responsibility

Mobbs stresses that until American negotiators recognize this connection and hold Russia accountable, peace talks will remain nothing more than a sham.

"Until US negotiators recognize this and punish Russia, the peace farce will continue." Mobbs believes.

Russian attack on Ukrainian mine workers

On Sunday, February 1, Russian troops attacked a service bus carrying miners in the Dnipropetrovsk region with a drone. At least 12 people were killed, and 16 others were injured as a result of the Russian attack.

Commenting on the tragedy in Ternivka, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha stressed that Russia must be held accountable for the war crimes it has committed.

In turn, the Defense Minister of Ukraine Advisor Serhii Beskrestnov noted that during the attack, Russian military personnel were aware that they were targeting a civilian facility, but this did not stop them.
